of August Reflection Questions.
1.
Describe:
What is your project? What materials did you use to make it? How long did it
take you to make?
- My
project is crayon art. I used
crayons, hot glue, a canvas and acrylic paint. Each one probably took
about 2 hours.
2.
Evaluate:
What are the good / strong parts of your project? What is done well and why?
I
think the good / strong parts of my project are the bold colors because it draws
attention.
3.
Evaluate:
What do you think you could have done better on this project and why?
I
could have done a better job with using better crayons to make it a brighter
color, because I used the cheap .25 cent box for the 2nd
one.
4.
Describe
the
attributes of your theme / unity: What is the deeper meaning of the
project? What are you trying to communicate? What details did you use to reflect
that theme?
- Color
is the theme. The deeper meaning of my project is in the quotes I put on
them. I’m trying to communicate that color is beauty.
I used many different shades of each color to reflect the
theme.
5.
Describe
the
important elements
(blue-titled
posters hanging in the art room) used in your design (at least 2): What are the
important elements? Why do you believe those are the most important?
- The
texture is very smooth and glossy looking, and color is another important
element, because it captures the lightness and darkness on the
canvas.
6.
Describe
the
important principles
(red-titled
posters hanging in the art room) used in your design (at least 2): What are the
important principles? Why do you believe those are the most
important?
- Rhythm
is used throughout by the different colors repeating and unity is used by
what the colors represent and the quotes go together.
They both help show the whole thing all together.
7.
Metacognate
(think about your thinking!!!):
What did you learn from this project that you could apply to other
projects in the future? What lessons could be applied to life in general? Why?
- I
learned that even random splatters of color can be interpreted as
something else.

- I
did the project this way because it helped the colors pop.
Yes the project was planned I had it all laid out before I started
melting the crayons. I ended up adding the quotes and on the second one I
added the rhinestones.
3.
Was
this a worthwhile project for yourself and why? What project will you be doing
next and why?
- Yes
this project was worth my time, because they turned out cool and kept a
meaning to them. I will be doing a
wall mural in a teacher’s room because she wants a quote on it.
