For meets I am going to make one pinata that is painted and has tissue paper on it
For Exceeding I am making 2 pinatas that are painted and have tissue paper.
1. Describe: What is your project? What materials did you use to make it? How long did it take you to make?
-My project is a kids piniata for my nephews birthdays. I used a balloon as the form, and then i covered it with papermache. It took me like 2 weeks to complete the whole project.
2. Evaluate: What are the good / strong parts of your project? What is done well and why? I
think the good / strong parts of my project are _____, because
-The good/strong parts of my project are they look true to the characters. The monkey looks like a monkey and Woody looks like Woody.
3. Evaluate: What do you think you could have done better on this project and why?
-I think I couldve done a better job with Woody, by getting a hat for it.
4. Describe the attributes of your theme / unity: What is the deeper meaning of the project? What are you trying to communicate? What details did you use to reflect that theme?
-The theme is cartoon characters for kids, and there really isn't any deeper meaning.
5. Describe the important elements used in your design: What are the important elements? Why do you believe those are the most important?
- I used texture for the smoothness of them, and color to create the looks of the characters. These are important, because they are what make the piniatas.
6. Describe the important principles used in your design: What are the important principles? Why do you believe those are the most important?
-I used contrast in colors and unity. These are important, because they help make the work look like the real thing.
7. Metacognate (think about your thinking!!!): What did you learn from this project that you could apply to other projects in the future? What lessons could be applied to life in general? Why?
-I learned that with all things take time, and this could be used later by learning how to manage time better.
EXCEEDING:
8. Evaluate and list the design process of your project (all of the steps you took to make it).
-First I blew up balloons, then I covered them in paper mache. Next I covered them with paint to make them look the way theyre supposed to.
9. Why did you do the project the way you did? Was it planned? What is by chance? What changes did you have to make along the way (if any changes were necessary)?
-I did this project this way, because it was the right size and still sturdy. Yes the whole layout was all planned and by choice. I made no changes as to what i was doing.
10. Was this a worthwhile project for yourself and why? What project will you be doing next and why?
-Yes this was a worthwhile project, because it was fun and my nephews will love them. I will be doing a collage for my next project because its for my Seattle Art Trip.
